This skill assessment is used to determine the employee’s skills meet the standards required of the occupation in Australia. Typically, each job listed on the government’s ‘Combined List of Eligible Skilled Occupations’ has their own assessing body with their own processes, pricing, and timelines. Some governing bodies include the Australian Computer Society Incorporated (ACS), Vocational Education and Training Assessment Services (Vetassess), CPA Australia Ltd (CPA) and The Institution of Engineers Australia (EA). Techvisa has had extensive experience with all these assessing bodies and more, so our expert team understand what is required and how to best assist applicants with this process.

As these bodies are individual agencies, it is also the applicant’s responsibility to contact the relevant authority to take the Australian skill assessment or we can do this on your behalf. It is important to note, the process of the skills assessment to review all qualifications and experience of the applicant does take some time, so contacting the assessing authority as soon as possible is recommended.

At Techvisa, we consult with individuals to assist in preparing all documentation to ensure the best outcome in the skills assessment. Once the assessment results have been reviewed by the occupational authority, the applicant will be notified and can attach a certified copy to their visa application.
